new to this

I was banded on Dec 28 and sent home soon after, only to end up ayt the ER that night in extreme agony. I'm extremely tolerant of pain but the gas was horrible from the laparoscopy. It's day 5 and I'm just starting to feel a little better. Is this normal? My teeth we're chattering and I was shaking uncontrollably
