Right now you Need to worry about healing properly. Your Body is going to take a few weeks to adjust to these changes and you may even gain a few pounds. It's totally okay your body needs to flush out all the junk from surgery and get used to the new you. Just stay on the diet plan advised by your doc and it will all start to fall into place. Have you arranged follow up with a local physician and nutritionist. If not that should be your first step. I don't know if the foreign drs give you post op instruction but I would think you should still be on liquids this soon after surgery. Can you give us soe more info and maybe we can help?

The first 4-6 weeks after surgery are for healing, not losing.

Follow your doctor's post op diet, stick to band sized portions, and just worry about healing.

Good.... Dd the Mexico docs give you a post op diet to follow until those local visits?

Yes they gave me all the tools to get started. Dr. Almanza was great. I still have pain in my left shoulder. Does the port have anything to do with this pain? The port is on my left side as well. Or is it just gas!!!!

Pain in the shoulder area is most likely gas. Walking is the best remedy. The port is most likely near your belly button or mid tummy area..
