Pregnant! Surprise!

Well I was banded 2/28/10 and I've lost 106 lbs now. I've been maintaining for the last 6 months although I want to lose another 20lbs.

Last week I found out I'm pregnant with my 2nd child. I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant and I'm already terrified of gaining weight!!! I was 298 the day I delivered my first child and I never want to see 200s again! I'm currently at 180! Any advice would be appreciated, keeping in mind my top priority is a healthy baby and healthy me!!

First, congratulations!

Ask your OBGYN what is a healthy amount of weight to gain during pregnancy, this way you will have clear guidelines how much you should (and shouldn't) be gaining.

I would also recommend a trip to your nutritionist. They can help come up with a food plan that's both healthy for you and the baby without resulting in your gaining 50 pounds.

Best wishes to you!
