So I brought the unflavored Unjury to mix into my Jello and Fruit Drinks, and I can smell and taste everything -.-.

I thought the jello would be the same consistency and taste n it doesn't :(. Also my mix with the sf fruit punch is so thick n gritty I can't bare to drink it without gagging. Has anyone else experienced this and are there ways to make the mixes better?

I bought 2 tubs of the stuff, unflavored and vanilla..........had to give them away, couldn't stand the smell or taste. I haven't found anything l like. I ended up going back to Optifast to suplument when needed. I try to eat all my Protein instead of drink it, sometimes I need to boost my Protein intake with the drink. good luck.

I am not sure if the powder is made to be added to fruit drinks or Jello. Have you tried yogart and smoothies???

I never liked the unjury products. I buy the unflavored Protein powder from GNC. It does cloud my drink' date=' but I do not taste any difference and it is not gritty.[/quote']

What's the name of the brand?

Post op, you can eat Soup (add cottage cheese and put in a blender for protein), greek yogurt, pudding. (if your dr lets you, mine did for liquid)...........I drank my pre op Optifast post op, because I couldn't stomach anything. You can make smoothies with yogurt and fruit (no seeds), you might be able to add some of the powder to a smoothie.< /p>

I hate the Unjury non flavored. I agree you can taste and smell it. Makes me gag!! I've tried over six different brands of protien shakes and can't find one I like. I force myself to drink three a day due to being on liquids still and it's miserable.

The only thing I've ever been able to stomach is Optifast - in Australia it's 20 g Protein and because ith Meal Replacement rich inother nutrients too. And it mixes with Water, so at 150 calories I do feel I can slip it in as a snack/supplement (not th I ever do anymore). I can't drink Protein Shakes unless they're mixed with milk which pushes up the calorie count quite a bit.

powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and alot of other protiens are heat senstitive.

I have tried Unjury unflavored and mixed it into cool drinks without a problem.

There are special directions for mixing it into jello(gelatin)

I know they have the directions on their website(unjury.com).

Also did you use a Blender Bottle? that seems to help too.

Please don't give up on your bariactric protien.

I love EAS it taste good. I never liked any other Protein Drink but I drank them because I had too. Your taste changes after surgery. I think we should open a Bari bar and serve good drinks lol

Chocorite is awesome but its not a clear one, it comes in flavors. They taste like cake batter and keep me full for 5-6 hours in the am. I eat bfast at 7am and lunch after 1pm.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
