How Much Do These Fill Cost High To Low

Recommended Posts

Ive been told that Insurance wont pay for fills. Or that floks just pay for their own fills. Ive heard 600 a fill. Whats the deal. I dont want to get a surgery and then not be able to afford the fills to make the toll Ive been given work! Sandy (no relation to Hurricane:)

My insurance does pay for my fills, the office bills them $350.00 and I pay a 40 co-pay. Hope this helps.

My surgeon includes all fills with the lapband procedure and NO co-payment. BCBS/Anthem Insurance of California.

all my fills are covered by my insurance as well... normally if your insurance covers the surgery it will cover the fills but you can call your insurance company and ask them... they should answer any questions you have!

You will have to check with your insurance to find out if they cover it. You'll have to ask your surgeon how much he charges for fills.

Every insurance company and surgeon is different so hearing what ours does/doesn't do won't help you. You need to find out about your own specifically.

My copay is $45 for a fill. I once asked how much it would be if I didn't have insurance and I was told $150. I would call your insurance company to confirm. If you know which surgeon you'd like to do your surgery, you can always call their office and ask.

This is my BEST Chris Rock impression:

Good Lawd its expensive w/out Insurance! and MIS73, I hate it when people tell me what not to post, even if its well meant, its bossy. Hmmph!

Thank you all for giving me a ballpark set of figures. That way I'll know if mine is way to expensive or very cheap, hoping of course that it is the last one.

Sincerely,

Sandy USN-VETERAN

Who told you what not to post? You posted, I answered your question honestly. Nothing more.

Just because you don't like the response doesn't make it untrue.

I could get it done at the Va Med Ctr. for virtually free if I trusted them to do a good job. But I am going to use the Private Sector instead. Im still filling out this stack of paperwork. Lets see, "Hoiw many times do you go to the bathroom.......rofl JK!! But it COULD BE there. This is comprehensive to say the least!

Sandy, your response to missy was uncalled. You asked and she answered.

Fill prices range from $100 to $1000, with lots of factors influencing the price. If you fear you will have a difficult time paying for the maintenance of the band then I recommend reconsidering it. Too many patients have complications because they can't afford to go to the doctor.

Just my 2 cents.

My Aetna insirance didnt cover the surgery or follow up. As a self pay my fills were free for the first 3 months. Then they were $50 each.

The Dr did go up in Sept to $100... but I dont need them very much now so its not going to hurt.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
