Hurting Question About Surgery On 10/17/12 Hard 'lump' Under Large Incision?

Hi,

This is my first post and I need advice. Directly Under my large incision feels bottom of rib cage I have stabbing pains! They come and go if I move wrong or take deep breaths? Have any of you experienced these? What is this? It hurts so bad I take liquid hydrocodone or otc pain med, lay flat, relax and the 'knot' feels smaller/relaxed after 15 min.

The forums are so helpful! I have lost 20 lbs. so far! Healing great, just tired after chasing my kids and 'starving' :) Muscle Milk Light with a splash of fat and sugar free chocolate and caramel liquid syrup and lemonade GV liquid flavor are my favorite!

Thanks!

Steph

I actually feel like I am going through the same thing. I did call my Dr. officer and they said it was normal. shrug. but geesh it's hurts like hell to even touch the skin? Even my nightgown touching it will hurt. then it goes away. I am also on the same meds.. how is it working for you? anyway.. Grats on the 20lbs! me too! the forums are awesome! hope to see more of ya!

That is where your port is stitched. The muscle it is stitched too is probably objecting! Just take the meds you have been prescribed and you should be fine.
