Brittle Nails; What Should I Be Adding To My Diet?

I am not good about getting enough dairy, but it seems to me like I've read that isn't necessarily the problem when you have brittle nails...or maybe I'm making that up, I really don't remember. Anyway, the past couple of weeks my nails have been snapping off like dried twigs if I bump into anything harder than jello. Any ideas of what I am missing, lacking, need to supplement?

Add Protein to your diet when possible

Take at least 2500 mcg of Biotin (an over the counter vitamin) once daily

The biotin takes a few months to work (usually 2) but if you take it consistently it will work, just be patient

Also, I take a chewable once a day Vitamin for good measure

Is your hair brittle/falling out also?

yes... use biotin.. I take 5000 mcg a day. does wonder for my hair and my nails

I will look into the Biotin...As for protein, I am averaging about 70-80 grams/day, so I don't think that is a problem. My hair is good, not brittle or dry. Just my nails seem to be suffering so far.

Thanks!
