Banded On 10/01 And Need A Buddy/mentor

Hi everyone! I got banded on Oct 1st and had my first post op appt today. There is some concern that I've been overdoing things (44 yr old married mom of 2 grade schoolers) and may have torn some stitches around the port. I started hurting in the port area 2 days ago. The surgeon says I'm still pretty swollen so he won't be able to tell anything till my first fill on Nov. 8th. I'm under orders to take it easy and no bending or twisting. Not sure how to avoid the bending entirely since I even bend a little when I'm eating (I mean drinking right now). Any advice would be appreciated and if anyone wants a buddy I could use one too. I live in Indiana. Thanks.

how r u bending while eating?

lift arm to face not face to folk/spoon lol. come to the chat room and get all the help and support you need. click on commuinty then on chat room.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
