newly banded ?'s about post-op diets

Hello I am newly banded on March 22. I am doing great just wondering what your post op diet consisted of. Thank you good luck to all!!! It's all very exciting!!:)

Congratulations on being newly banded! It is very exciting, good luck on your new journey.

Post op, I did liquids for a few days - chicken broth, liquid protien, Jello, stuff like that, then on to softs (or mushies as they call them here) - Soups, scrambled eggs, cheese, cream of wheat, stuff like that. Then mostly normal foods, avoiding breads, pasta's rice.

Up until day 4 was liquids. Days 4 - 7 were thicker liquids (yogurt, cream soups). Weeks 2 & 3 were mushies. Weeks 4 & 5 semi-solids. Weeks 6 and beyond, trial & error.

Disclaimer - that's off the top of my head, and I may have omitted something. :)
