Pain To Port Area????

How long does it take for pain to go away or at least get better by the biggest incision, which I assume is the port area??? Burns really bad when I stand up or sit.

That will take the longest to heal. A couple weeks i think. You can also ask your doc for specifics.

That took a while for me too it got itchy and it was swollen I thought I had an infection. Hang in there part of the healing. There are times I have a little port pain now over a year in but it's brief and isnt often. Good luck :)

I am 3 months out and just today noticed out of the blue that the area where the port scar is feels like a sharp knife is stabbing it every time my shirt touches it. I hope this will go away by tomorrow.

Spoke to my doc today about it and he said that for a while after the surgery the area is numb. Then the feeling starts to come back and the nerves are hyper sensitive ...should only last for a short time.
