Having squeezing/throbbing pain where my band is and into my esophagus. Saw my surgeon on Thursday and he said it sometimes happens when the body is getting used to the band.

I would like to know if any of you experienced this and how long before it went away?

I am 12 days post op and I sure hope it goes away. It's not a pain I could function well with on a daily basis.

Ah Leener - I've been away from the board for a while and just read what you've been going through! I'm so sorry you had such a rough time. The first few weeks waiting for the swelling to go down was rough for me. I even ended up in tears one day on my way home from work. Then magically, one day it all stopped and I felt better. I'm so glad you're doing better. One hell of a way to lose 17 lbs - but geez that's almost a whole size in clothes! Congrats and I'm glad you're feeling better!
