Well' date=' I am home.. feeling a bit miserable but nothing to compare of the pain I thought I'd be in. I know it's only the first day lol. Breathing in my nose out my mouth has helped a lot. I feel the gas in my tummy, back and shoulder but it's not unbearable.. at times i moan out.. ****.. or gosh damn.. but thats about it. My surgeon was awesome and they said everything went very great!! They also repaired the hiatal hernia. Hard to sip Water, because I get so bloated and uncomfortable when I take a few sips.. my tummy is very soar and get occasional pains.. All normal ?? I am waiting for another 40mins to take some more meds! When I fall asleep I dont feel a thing till I wake up. Thank you all for having faith in us.. you all have been such a help and inspiration and knowing we have all of you on this journey today is amazing in itself. <3 ya guys!....... ( ouch ) lol .. pain pain go awaaay![/quote']

I had to drink standing up or walking around for days. Helped with the bloating!

Thanks for all the feedback! Negativity doesn't really affect me, but I'm the type to speak up. Lol. I just want to ask them what the hell they were thinking when they got the band!

On another note, when I "eat" (drink) my food, I've been getting a pain in my lower left side. Is this my.... Full alert? I'm so ashamed that I've never really felt full, it's always been stuffed cause I'd clean my plate and eat because I just wanted to! Again, I just had surgery on the 12th. I've been thinning mashed potatoes and other thicker stuff. I was told this was okay, but maybe I should just stick to the cream Soups and broth? =/ my "mashed potato water" makes me feel full and gives me more energy than the other stuff. =( lol, all I wanna do is sleep this week!

Chugging along. <3

Yes, I had the compression wraps, 1 shot in the belly. Outpatient. But my canadian friend. shots at home. with no pre existing. So-- I was also waiting for the "What in the world did i do to myself?" syndrome, but it never came,,, Thank Goodness. Now that im healing, i shouldve done this sooner, like the other 50000 ppl have sayd on the site already. haha.. But i feel FREE.. Free of insecurities in my future. Free of getting slight stares of, "Boy! she's a big girl" Free to fit in a roller coaster seat without having to be told,"sorry" you dont fit, and we cant squeeze you in" Free to soon shop in whichever MALL store i can ( afford) within boundaries, of course. Free to be seen as ME.

hang in there! The first night is the worst. I had to sleep in my recliner. Don't try and be tough, let the nurse know your pain level. If it gets away from you, it will be hard to catch up.

The first night was the toughest for me but don't be afraid to ask for more pain meds. sleep is so healing so if you can get comfortable, do it. I will keep you in my prayers tonight.

I might require an intervention sometime soon. Lmao. I'm addicted to Pinning on Pinterest! We're moving in less than a month and I've got tons of projects planned to start the second we're unpacked. I've already started cooking all kinds of stuff that I've pinned! Good thing about it though, is that I'm not really interested in eating it... Just making it for the boyfriend and daughter (Who could eat lard for a week and not gain an ounce. Definitely didn't get that from me!) satisfies me greatly. =)

Anyone in Houston? I need a garage saling buddy... I need some "junk" drawers and side tables for a project. Lol. (I've always loved turning trash to treasure!)

I have been getting that pain on my left side after I eat or drink also, haven't figured out why yet but typically takes an hour or more to go away. If I'm up walking around I don't notice it until I sit down then I don't want to sit, lol. Today was the first day I had mashed potatoes and wow they are an energy booster.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
