I was just wanting to know if there were any youngsters in here with the lapband, i like getting advice from all ages but was just wondering if teen to young adults have similar effcts. ok thanks

Hi! Welcome to LBT! You will love being on here. There is so much good info. The youngest age that I have seen is 20 but that doesnt mean the there arent younger people. I am 21 and had my surgery on jan.9th so I am still pretty new to everything. I hope that everything is going well with you or will go well with you.

I am 15 and had the band done at 14. There are not many younger bandsters around, but the site is great none the less.

ok thanks, i was just wondering what effects did you'll have after the surgery, like i notice older patients than us have gas pains did any of you have them.

Im 20 in and im still trying to get started on the process. I just can't get the info i need i guess. How did you girls get started? What side effects do you have? Is it really helping you out? Do you girls like it?:help: any info... Please let me know!!!!

After surgery, I had gas pains. Other than that, I didn't have any pains.

To get started, my mom emailed Dr. Ortiz. Side effects all I had was gas pains. The surgery is really really helping. I like having the lapband, because it helps me lose weight.
