Is This Bandster Hell???

Recommended Posts

19 days post op and the Soup and liquid yogurt and Protein Shakes do not satisfy me! I'm glad I get to have real food on Friday. I'll have to watch my portions for sure. But is this what is called Bandster Hell???

Don't think I could take it that long. I'm allowed mushy foods the second week out. I'm so sorry for you. One thing that I really depend on is greek yougurt vanilla flavor, then I add a couple drops of vanilla extract to it. It's a favorite of mine. Good luck!

It's torture! My doctor must hate me :P I'll have to try that yogurt. I've been watching the John Stamos commercials and drooling... Not sure if it's the yogurt or John Stamos...

I only did liquids for 6 days and my surgeon said I could go to the next phase "mushies" .

Each doctor is different.

Yes, this is the hard part. It is even harder, or it was for me, being able to have "real" food and have to still rely totally on willpower, as I had no restriction!

Not having restriction is really hard, specially since most of us are coming from a two week liquit diet. I actually gained weight during the last week before my first filling. I already lost it all again and then some. It gets easier, hang in there missmudd!!

Is this banster hell, when I was on my shakes and yogurt and cottage cheese, i was not hungry like this, just wanted to chew.

I am only on my 2nd day of purees and I have not been this hungry since before my pre diet. I am using the small Portion Control, but I am constantly wanting something more and my next visit until the 19th of Sept. Tomorrow I think I am going to start my day with a Protein shake to replace my Breakfast and see how the rest of the day. From 7am today to 12pm I had 1 scrambled egg and dice peaches for Breakfast, still unsatified, had 4oz of greek yogurt 9:30 am with lots of will power and then had mized veggies pureed, and by 11:30am had 2 tablespoons of chicken salad and 4oz of unsweeted applesauce. And drank 8 glasses of Water. Sill want to eat. If I had a shake, I would not even think about lunch until 1 or 2pm. It is 2:43pm and my stomach is grumbling. First time hungry since May 22nd when I started this jouney.

i'd DIE for a scrambled egg and peaches! Protein Shakes make a difference for me since the carbs always make me hungry. but the liquid diet is mostly carbs!!! this process is making me crazy. hope the shake works better for you tomorrow.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
