I am currently three and a half weeks post op and for the past few days I have been having stomach pains near and around the belly button area on the left side. very noticable when I bend down or tie my shoes. My port is up under the breast area, so I do not know what this pain is from. Has anyone else had this sort of pain and know what it could be caused from? Feels like a knife stabbing me in my gut.

yep, i would think it is the scar tissue forming (but i could be wrong). i am now heading toward 6 weeks post op and now my sharp/uncomfy pains have stopped. just move slower/slowly.

i am sure you will be fine. if in doubt, or you are concerned, just give your dr/nurse a jingle. they will answer you i am sure. all the best :)

It's scar tissue. I just got over it! It's horrid felt like a burning poker in my stomach! It pulled and burned ouch! I really thought I had done something wrong. I'm fine now it will go away I promise. I took my pain meds and rested once off work.

I had that a week or so ago. It passed after about a day of rest.

I am being banded in just under a month, but had my appendix out less than a year ago using the same laproscopic technique. I remember feeling the worst pain, not from where my appendix was, but from my belly button, and although the pain went away, it was the only area of discomfort for some time. All the other scars have faded and gone but that one is still bright and raised and when it's cold it gets mega itchy. I'm hoping the lap band surgeon can use the same area so I don't have 2 scars, but at leSt I'm prepared for what it will feel like.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
