1Wk On From 2Nd Fill & It Still Hurts To Drink Water

Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum and am 3mths post op - have lost just under 10kg (22pounds) and had my 2nd fill done last Friday. Ive been struggling all week with both food and drinks but am worried it hurts so much (heartburn) after only drinking Water. Food is extremely challenging and I've only got 2ml in the band!!

Any suggestions or advice on what I can eat and how I can drink water (or anything) without the heartburn I would be very grateful.

Thanks to everyone who posts here - its been invaluable to me and I wish each and everyone all the very best of success on this life changing journey.

Are you taking big gulps of water or little sips? I love water and used to guzzle down half a glass at a time. Now I'm restricted to taking small sips or it hurts. I've had a few issues with heartburn and just eat a Tums and it goes away.

Thanks Toddy - hadn't thought about 'how' I drink - if I sip I'm ok. It was ok before the 2nd fill - amazing how much difference 1/2 ml makes to the band!!

I think if it is that difficult you need to call your doc. I had my first fill last week and could not drink water so the doc. took out 1.5 cc's Some people do not need any fills and still lose. Please call your doctor no harm done to call.
