This is a landmark weekend - went to the gym yesterday and the guy that works the counter told me it was my 1,000th visit (which means 1,000 miles in the pool) then this morning got on the scale and I'm down 100 pounds!

:whoo:It has been a long time since my last post, been missing everyone, and just as I began lurking, I realized that I have not reported that I am 110 lbs down now! I have 18 pounds to get to my goal, but I may rethink that when I get there. I really got excited today as I am finally no longer obese, just overweight as per my current BMI. I am so thankful for my second chance at real life with this band, It has truly saved my life.

I never noticed this board before today and I think it is great to see all the people that have lost 100+lbs. I know that before my surgery I looked for motivational posts like this to make me feel like it was do-able and the right thing for me....

I am thrilled to announce that I am just over 1 year past surgery and have hit the -100 club !!!!:whoo:

Another 25 or 30 and I'll be at goal....who'da thunk???:bounce:

Today it is official - on the SAME scale I weighed 315 on 1/1/07 (just prior to banding on 1/17/07), I now weigh 213.5!!!! The last couple of weeks I kept hovering at 217/219. Then all of a sudden!

This was my goal for 1/1/08... and it is only November 29! Wahoo!!!

Dare I ask for under 200 by 1/1/08?

I still have about 55 pounds to go... but it is seeming more like a reality every day now!

YIPEEE!!!!!!! YIPEEE!!!!!!! YIPEEE!!!!!!! 101.5 today!!!!!!:(

I saw 213 today!!!!!!!!! In January I started with my surgeon's nutritionist and the scale read 313.

I've been at a stand still for a few weeks, but then I got a fill and got my eating back to about 1000 calories a day and at last lost 3 pounds to see my MINUS ONE HUNDRED today!!!!

I'm so happy! I wonder if I can see 199 for the New Year...I'm going to try very hard!!!

YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
