I have had 4 fills. I can get them every 4 wks if needed. I didn't get one at my last appt but think I might ask for a small amount at my next one. I have the larger band (14cc I think).

My band is a size 10...I have had 3 fills and have 3cc in my band. I have a monthly appointment where I can have an adjustment if needed. I'm 3 months out today!!

Try not to compare yourself to others.....how many/how much will differ greatly between patients.

Well, I started out at 376 pounds and had my lapband installed on Febuary 29th of this year. So it's been a total of 111 days since my surgery and I have lost 88 pounds so far. When I got the surgery, which took me years to get done, I knew I wanted to make te most of the process. I haven't had restriction until my last fill and that went away a few days later. Therefore, I think I will be pretty close to the sweet spot with my next fill. I have not lost any weight for the last two weeks and I have to refocus myself to smaller portions like I did right after surgery.

I've had 4 fills, and the last one needed a little unfilling since I couldn't keep Water down. I can't eat bread or Pasta anymore which is fine if I were seeing results. I've been banded 6 months now, and haven't lost any weight. It's hard not to compare yourself to others, when it seems like everyone else loses weight.

For those of you who have had trouble losing weight if you are in the green zone/have adequate restriction u need to change what u are doing to start getting the weight off. Are you burning more calories than you are eating, are you keeping a food journal to log how much you eat ?

Sometimes its not just about smaller portions of food, but its more about what sort of food you are eating, maybe too many Protein Shakes, too many carbs or fat, even if you are eating only a 1000 calories a day, if those are 'bad/unhealthy' calories its unlikely you will lose weight.

Sometimes this 'losing weight' is a real battle for some people but it always is possible u just have to find the right method.. Not one person on the biggest loser has ever gone there and not lost weight, and that includes our one here in the UK aand the one in Australia ...

Make some small changes and see for a week or two if that makes a difference, if not change something else, then try that for a couple of weeks etc etc ..

The band is there as a support to weight loss, it wont choose what food you eat, or how much u eat, it will just make making healthier choices easier. Get a fill if u think u need one, its never about how many fills u have its about how much fill u have and how much restriction u get, at the end of the day tho the rest is up to you ..

good luck !

I have 4cc in a 10cc band. I've had 3 fills and go back every month to see if I need/want another. I definitely won't get another fill this month because I don't need it.

Cazzy offers good advice and she's been REALLY successful with her band. I'd definitely listen to her.

24 fills & 8 unfills over a 4 and half year period. I had a leaky port that was the cause for a lot of the fills for awhile.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
