Does Anyone Else Have Severe Asthma With A Lap Band?

I am always in an out of the hospital because of respitory illnesses, I have a immune deficit so when I catch a cold my asthma goes nuts and unfortunately I can't seem to get better without the help of iv meds. So today when I went for my fill my doctor was concerned I lost a large amount of weight in just three Weeks time so I mentioned I wasn't feeling well and after assesing my vitals he called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. I know if I had gone to my pcp she would.have done the same I just was nervous to go because I have one week of my.med surge nursing class left and dont want to miss anything. So after a shot in the behind and some fluids an scripts they let me go home. Its frustrating because I thought by losing all this weigbt it would help my health instead of only my confidence. does anyone have asthma like this that impairs your quality of life? How do you deal ? Any tips are greatly appreciated!
