  2. Six Weeks ago I got admitted for another asthma.flare.up and because of the steroids it causes increase appetite an thirst the doc emptied my band so in six Weeks I feel like I did so much damage but when I went to him to get filled I was down three lbs suprisingly, ive been.stuck in the.240s for what.seems like a.long time now, so im hoping being restricted again I can break the curse of the 240s & keep losing. Part of my problem is I am afraid of.exercise im scared to have another asthma.flare up but I think if I do what he says by staying indoors.to work out it will be better. Just need inspiration to get my butt back into gear, please leave motivating positive comments here! Sorry for typos im on.my.phone lol
  3. I learned you shouldnt use straws beacuse it creates air an makes more gas causing your pouch to feel Fuller faster before you can even get enough fluids in

  5. I enjoyed refried beans with a 1/3 cup of weight watchers shredded Mexican cheese it was good and packed with protein! Also did chicken salad, and lunch meats.
  6. I am always in an out of the hospital because of respitory illnesses, I have a immune deficit so when I catch a cold my asthma goes nuts and unfortunately I can't seem to get better without the help of iv meds. So today when I went for my fill my doctor was concerned I lost a large amount of weight in just three Weeks time so I mentioned I wasn't feeling well and after assesing my vitals he called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. I know if I had gone to my pcp she would.have done the same I just was nervous to go because I have one week of my.med surge nursing class left and dont want to miss anything. So after a shot in the behind and some fluids an scripts they let me go home. Its frustrating because I thought by losing all this weigbt it would help my health instead of only my confidence. does anyone have asthma like this that impairs your quality of life? How do you deal ? Any tips are greatly appreciated!

  8. Any drainage? Is it itchy? A little pink is not to bad but when I had mine done I was told itching meant if was healing....Ive had other surgies before and knew that itching was part of healing but when I told the.nurse the itch was unbearable and my site was fire engine Red she asked me to come in, it turns out it was a topical skin yeast infection a complication from the antibiotics I had gotten in the hospital. When in doubt get it checked out!
  9. I can finally fit into a large at Victoria secrets and I really love their comfy PINK line of hoodies, tees an sweats. Shopping is fun now!
  10. I started at 310, I eat Greek yogurt because it has a good amount of protein, I also do a lot of fish and chicken. My snacking was my problem so I have replaced snacking with drinking water or powerade zero...also have learned healthier snacks an try to have them readily available because its so easy to fall back into bad habits and go back to the convenience foods. Im glad to hear all your replies...keep up the great work!
  11. I know everyone is different, I am just interested in how long it took some of you to lose 100lbs? I am five months out and have lost 60 lbs I am excited to be slowly morphing into a healthier me.
  12. I recently was admitted to the hospital for a bad cold and asthma problems, I have an immune deficiency so I have trouble fighting off colds therefore I usually get admitted 2 or 3 times a year for this problem...Since lapband this was my first admission and I was given IV steroids which of course increases your appetite. So I am now home and I am ten pounds heavier and have the hungry horrors So I called my lap band doctor's office so they are going to do another fill On 3/7 But I wanted to know Has anyone had this happen where they have gained some weight back? It is so discouraging and now I fear that I will be stuck at this weight forever, is there hope in sight for me?! I just hope to be restricted again to the point where I don't feel hungry so much.

  16. Sorry to hear what you are going through My surgery was put back because of illness as well and it can be so discouraging but it gave me more positive attitude to kick the illness in the pants and move on to bigger and better things like having the lap band surgery and finally losing weight. Lots of blessings and positive thoughts for you
  17. On Monday I will be moving on to the next stage in the post op lapband diet stage 4 ( soft foods) My diet now consists of 1 Protein shake in the morning, a greek yogurt for lunch and a Protein Shake for dinner. I have been averaging about 1 lb weight loss a day and im nervous that when I move on to soft foods that I won't keep losing. so I guess Im curious as to what you ate for your soft foods and did you still use a protein shake for one of your meals? Did you keep losing?
