Hello everyone

Recommended Posts

hello, i am new to this forum. i am being banded on march 13. i live in desoto co. and dr madan in memphis, tn is my surgeon.

i am looking for some type of support group. i tried the support group at the surgeon's office and did not enjoy it. i want to find something online and with someone in my area. this is the only place i saw someone from the southaven area. i was excited when i stumbled across this, but dont see too many posts on the site.

i am sure i will have 100 questions before and mainly after the surgery. i will send my email if someone wants to talk. i am glad to find this site.

Ok, I changed my log in name (for the better). I was pmloveland. I am doing well since my surgery. I am down 23 lbs and feel great. My fill will not be until 8 weeks due to me being out of town the next 2 weeks. Thanks for all the support.

Have any of Dr Madan's patients been to a support group meeting at his office? I went one time and did nto like it. Everyone at that meeting was a bypass patient and I did nto have alot of things in common with them. I really like this web site. Even if I just look around and not post anything, I still get alot from it.

Good luck to everyone~~later, pam

Hi and Welcome. How is your surgery coming along? Everything ok with you? I hope so. This is a great place for support and information. I am hoping to be banded in the next few weeks. I was going to have it done in Mexico, but found out that I can probably use my ins. and save a bundle of cash.

Robin

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
