Eat To Lose ???

I only weigh on Wed and last week I had not lost or gained, I was the exact same weight as the week before.

I had only been eating between 700 & 800 calories a day.

After reading several posts on here I decided my body must be in starvation mode and I needed to increase calories to 1000 to 1100.

I have done that for the last four days and curiosity got the best of me, I got on the scale today and gained one pound.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I go back to the 800 calories a day?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone,

I thought if I followed the rules and did what I was suppose to do, it would work out.

But I am finding out that it takes alot more then that.

Baby steps!

Grandma: You just had the surgery last month. You are doing great..God gives us 1 day at a time. Give your body 1 day at time. Relax, learn the rules because the lapband is in your body for the rest of your life. (if you want it to) I am sure once you reach your goal (and you will in time) You do not want to gain it back ie: yo yo effect. This is it. For myself the last 10 lbs were hard to loose and I realized that if I want to maintain which I have for 1 year. I am to be on it for the rest of my life. I am commited to do so.

Keep up all the good work that you are doing. And sometimes our goal in our head is not the same goal as the body wants to have.

I have also discovered that this journey is also about developing patience and perseverance...you are correct; every journey begins with the first initial small steps!

You are on your way! :)
