I had my surgery on 4-6-12 and still in a lot of pain. I tried to go to work today and hand to come home. Have not eaten much at all. Had some juice, fruit smoothie and Water. Was very out of breath and sweating while at work. I'm a teacher but I was taking it easy. Worried.

I had surgery March 20> I tried to go to work on the 26th and couldn't: pain, tiredness, etc. I only made it a few hours on the 27th, 28th and 29 then went back on April 2. i wish I had taken that second week off.

I work as a teacher's assistant, I did my surgery during the summer with no work. I did not feel like doing anything for first 2 weeks. My advice to you....You need to get some Protein in you. If you are still on liquids, you should be including Protein Drinks. If you live near a GNC, they have Isopure drinks...they have 160 calories and 40 g of protein...trust me you will feel better if you can get in at least 60 g a day!! Minimum of 60. Also, costco has Premier Protein shakes...160 calories with 30 g of protein. Drinking juice and fruit smoothie is not going to help!! Just my advice...good luck!!

What danielle said! Protein is essential in the healing process for at least 6 weeks and essential in your lap band diet. I felt bad too while I was on clear liquid but I had a big rebound when I was allowed to eat real food and protein!

I went back 6 days after my surgery. I work in retail, but instead of being on the floor for 8 hours, they're having me man the phones for this (second week after surgery)week and I'm happy they are!! I had a 3 hour lab for school where I was shooting random footage, then afterwords I walked around Walmart for an hour. 4 hours on my feet and I'm done!! Relax, take it easy, don't over-do it, and follow the surgeon's meal plan!! Protein!!!!!! :)

Congratulations on ur surgery! 4-6 was my 1 yr bandaversary. The first couple of weeks r rough. Take it easy... I took 2 wks off, I'm a nurse @ a hospital & it was hard when I went back. Can u have soft food like cottage cheese? That always helped give me a boost.

Good luck on your journey ... I'm down 106 pounds in 1 yr! You're going to do great :)

I had my surgery on 4-6-12. I tried eating cottage cheese I think to early. I ended up bringing it back up. Then I couldnt keep anything down. Called the doctors office and had to go in for an Iv. He ended up taking the 2cc's that he started me off with out. I feel so much better. Can keep things down. Feel a lot better now that I can have Protein again. Just remember to drink!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
