Just had surgery on Thursday, April 5, and stayed over night. I was sent home yesterday with Tylenol-codiene but it was absolutely no help. I've been walking constantly to get rid of the gas pains, but it feels like someone is sitting on my chest making it hard to breathe. The doctor called in a percoset prescription for me and that really helped. I'm worried now that I'm not getting enough water and fluids. Today I've had about three glasses of water, half a cup of optifast, and about a third of a cup of tomato soup. I also had one sugar free ice pop, all since 7:30. Is this normal, or should I be taking in a lot more liquids? I feel bubbly in my abdomen when drinking water, and sometimes it's a little painful. I'm not even sure how much my new stomach can handle so I'm hesitant to drink too much. Please help!
