I'm on my 4th post surgery day and I'm still in a lot of pain. I tried to go to work today and had to come home. Everything was such an effort' date=' I was short of breath and sweating. I'm worried. I have not really consumed anything but Water, juice and a fruit smoothie. Do I need to try something more substantial?[/quote']

Hmm the problem could be that you dont have enough Protein. Are you drinking your Protein shake ? About every 4 hours you should have 4 oz. The one from GNC is pretty good ( whey isolated 28 ) mix with water. Maybe that will help

Banded yesterday. Definitely uncomfortable today. But they also did a hiatal hernia and had to fix a bleed on my left side. I am trying to get used of sleeping on my back. The pain med will certainly be my friend today.

I know how you feel. I had a very hard time getting used to laying on my back. Little by little you can lay on your side. Then for short periods of time on your tummy. Don't worry its all worth it :)

I was banned on the 3rd, pain finally got better yesterday and is even better today. Several people told me that I would feel a lot better by day 7.. They were so right. Hang in there, I hope it gets better really soon!
