I have BcBsNj and it is an "exclusion" on my policy and is not covered. Are you sure its not an exclusion on yours?

No my cover 100% , was just wondering how long it takes, its only been 3 days but this waiting sucks lol..

well thats great that they will cover it 100%, and yes im sure the waiting sucks. My surgery is set for June 11th and I will have to be a self pay. I hope that it will be money well spent. Best of luck to you. :)

thanks, and Good Luck to you too, I am sure it def will be worth it.... :D

Laney, I have BSofNJ Direct Access and it covered both my husband & myself, 100%. Never knew how long the wait period was as my Dr's office scheduled my surgery a month and a half out from my initial visit and that was only because I couldn't do it sooner. I went through all the testing required and then I heard from the staff I was precerted. I'm not sure, but I think they have to wait for all the testing to come in, making sure you're a candidate and then get the precert. We were both assured from the get go we wouldn't have to worry about getting precerted.

Thanks im just worried cause my bmi is boderline

My BMW was borderline too and I had a 6 month wait with my bcbs. I opted for self pay because I knew my BMI would not cut the criteria at the end of a six month wait. My surgery was on 2/24/12. Good luck to you!
