Foods Aren't Really That Hard To Eat And I'm Two Weeks Out.....

I started mushies a couple days ago and two things happened:

First thing is my hunger increased dramatically. I feel as though I don't even have a band....

Second thing is that it's not difficult to eat foods at all. I've been told to eat mushies but I have tried pickles and Soup with noodles and I have no problem getting it down. I feel no restriction (i haven't had a fill yet, i know i'm not supposed to yet) but now that I'm on solid food my weight fluctuates about 2 pounds. I have tested the band by eating while drinking, eating quickly....and nothing. I don't feel any different. Has anyone else gone through this?

I was told also by my dietician, NO bread, pasta, rice and sugars. I have kept to that and I've lost a total of 45 pounds since nov and a total of 31 pounds since feb.. It's not easier at all, but it's so worth it to me.. I just tell ppl I'm allergic to the stuff, which to me I am, LOL!!

Looking for this exact topic banded on 3/22/2012 no restriction for me either I can eat anything I'm trying to figure out why? I have decided I need A fill and will stay sting until then

Same with me- banded march 13th and no restrictions- still hungry!!sooo ready to get this weight off- walking everyday and trying to watch what I eat- ready for a fill but dr says we need to wait till eight weeks after surgery- so first fill scheduled for April 30th- that day can't get here soon enough!!! Sooo excited!! Down 18 pounds since feb 29th ( thats when I started pre-op diet)

It really shocks me to hear that after your band you are not feeling restriction. I am!! I did not get any fills during surgery and my amount of food intake ( and food choices) have changed dramatically. I am almost at a month out and I have a very fine line between eating enough and way too much! If I take that extra bite, I am miserable for hours. I also have started my ... You don't want to eat this unless you plan to be miserable list.. Which I might add includes some all time favorites...non shredded chicken, corn, and pretty much any raw vege.

I hope that you get those fills as you need. I do not see one for me in the near future. I get full off of Water still. My main problem is the head huger and all this great food and "crack juice" aka soda calling my name!!

  • 3 weeks later...

Still no restriction... No nausea no vomiting... Feels as though I don't have a band... I have more problems with liquids than anything else.. Still can't wait till April 30th my first fill date.. I know it will be different then and I can't wait...

Good luck to you!!! May we both be happy and healthy!!!! :)
