Can you have extract (i.e. vanilla) directly post-op?

I'm 4 days post-op and can't seem to get in my milk/calcium, so I came up with a recipe... hot vanilla & coconut milk... it's delicious, but I need some feedback about whether it is safe/good to have any sort of extract in our liquids. The reason I'm concerned is the fact that extracts have alcohol in them. Please let me know what you think... in the interim, here's the recipe:

8-10 oz skim milk - heated

2 packets of splenda

a few drops of pure vanilla extract

a few drops of imitation coconut extract

If your nevous about the alcohol in the extract, use an imitation extract. Other than that I don't see why it would hurt you. Enjoy.

(sounds yummy btw).
