Me too! I was so pissed! LOL

It was gone within a couple of days. I was told it was Water retention from all the fluids that were pumped into me via IV.

Welcome home and grats on your band!

Hi,

I was banded on the 2-15-06 - also gained 4 lbs - but all came off & more about 5 days out.

Congrats on banding !!

Yep, 6 lbs gain the first day home here also. I couldnt come close to wearing my same denim capris that I wore to the hospital, I looked 6 months pregnant.

I didn't get weighed after surgery until my first office visit....I can understand being upset seeing that you gained. Glad I got to wait.

Congrats on the Band!

They pump you full of fluids ... don't worry... it's very temporary. I know I had a gain directly post-op as well... it'a a little hard to swallow seeing a gain but try and focus on healing ... the pre-fill stage is not necessarily a big weight-loss time. Welcome to Bandland!

Be happy it was only 6 pounds..I gained 15 from surgery..dont worry it will go away, it is from th IV's and the gas they pump you up with..you are normal..
