Crystal, that is so awesome! SO happy for you!! I am blessed with such a supporting family that is willing to go the extra mile just to make me happy. Is it a struggle? I mean, do you get aggravated that you cant eat what you want? What do you have to do to prepare yourself for surgery? Im so nervous, but yet excited.

honestly it was every emotional for me at first. my 2 week pre opt liquid diet (not all drs require pre opt diet) was during the holidays so while everyone was enjoying loads of awesome food i was eating broth as pathetic as it might sound it was emotionally difficult it made me realize how big food was in my life and in everyones life but overall i needed that :) i kept my head up by realizing that was the last christmas i was going to be this big and that next christmas i am going to be happier and healthier. so for me it has been very emotional but also very liberating finally took control of my life :)

ps: also dont think that your not going to eat "normal" for ever again because you will, just eat consciously know what you put in your mouth. i had Cookies the other day but because i now know how many cals and fats there are in them i only had 2. your arent giving up food you are just changing the way you eat :)

do you have a surgery date yet?

oh and ALSO haha things that helped me prepare for surgery were just coming onto the forum and asking questions and just reading what to expect. and on youtube i recommend taking a look at some vlogs people have documented their lapband journeys in video vlogs on youtube if your interested i recommend looking up kacykwinn, and newtoy4kt :)
