I will eat something and it goes away but comes back, I've been doing everything as close as possible to my scheduled meals, but does this meal my tummy is ready for real food? ?? I have been taking my Vitamins.< /p>

I'm sitting here right now with some lightheadedness. And Thursday will be 3 weeks for me. I kind of feel like I'm blaming everything on the surgery. I also keep thinking that my vision is weird. Don't know how surgery would affect my eyesight.

Are you staying hydrated? I know when I haven't drank enough Water, I feel just like you. Try drinking more water.

I just got back from md folks, have maintained my after surgery weight of 187, (Yeah) but the lightheadedness/dizzyness he said is probably from the blood pressures medicines. My bp when he took it was 110/60. I take one in am and one in pm, the lost of 30 lbs so suddenly can certainly affect these. So if someone is taking any and experiencing same, contact the dr that rxd them to you and explain to him whats going on, Miss Meow, because I was getting lapband, my eye dr, opted to wait to rx me new eyeglasss perscriptions till after because yes, the weight loss can affect our eyes, the change in the Water in our bodies has a great deal to do with our eye sight. I tend to be like you all these new little nusisances I tend to blame the surgery, Oh the things we learn on this new journey! But I feel so much better now, knowing it wasn't me being all anxious, it really was something going on!

This is very interesting as I'm two weeks post-op today and have both the lightheadedness and eyesight thing going on. I kept telling myself the eyesight thing was just my imagination, but the light-headedness is definitely happening periodically! I'm only down 13.5 pounds (including what I lost pre-op) so I can't imagine that it would be enough to affect my blood pressure.

The surgeon said, its alot of weight for the body to lose suddenly and its trying to figure itself out. surgeon said I should stop one of the meds, to see if it helps but its only been one day, and its not fun, cardiologist can't see me till Monday. so I have to 'suffer" till then. I'm gonna try and keep myself hydrated, Toddy and see how much that helps during the week.

And I haven't exercised much, could that be a factor? hmmm

I feel the same Toddy. Can't imagine that my 16lb weight loss would be enough to effect my vision. Kind of freaking me out. I'm going to put in a call to my nurse/patient advocate.

Let me know what they say. My problems haven't been significant enough to mention -- like I said, just kind of felt like it was all in my head! I'm going to call my PCP on my blood pressure meds though; that's one thing I always try to stay on top of!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
