Hello Everyone! A little reassurance please.

I am not scheduled for surgery yet. I first went to the doctor in June. They sent for pre-auth for a by-pass by mistake. I wanted lapband all along but my insurance rep said to appeal anyway and if it was approved request that the approval be changed to lapband. I was approved for lapband last week and was told I have to se the doctor again before they will schedule the surgery so I am seeing the doc again on the 28th. I am hoping for a date before the end of March. I have a lower BMI. Has anyone had the band that needed to lose less than 75 pounds. Is the wl slower? I have had alot of negatives from friends but I don't care what they say. I'm really nervous but determined. Thanks.

Sorry I can't relate to the low BMI question, but I did want to welcome you to LBT. I'm sure you'll get alot of good information and support here. You may want to search the forums for low BMI posts, I know it's been brought up before.
