I hear that bcbs of la. Covers Lapband. I am looking for the right insurance plan to include Lapband surgery. I am Okay with a waiting period up to a year if necessary. I am currently 35 bmi with apnea, hi bp, Hienal hernia, and have tried every diet imaginable. Each time the weight comes back double. Ty

Whether or not your insurance covers lapband depends on the coverage your employer has chosen.

I have BCBS in CA and mine was covered. It is likely that yours is too. Give them a call and ask. Also take a look at their website, it will tell you all the prerequisites.
