Crazy Question For Women Bandsters....

Recommended Posts

I have a crazy question. Do any of the female banders that wear underwire bras have tenderness from your bra? I dont know how to explain it, but I feel like if i wear my bra too long, I have tenderness on my left side near my port site. When I don't wear it as long, I don't. Maybe I'm sitting wrong or something, but i hate the thought of giving up my underwire support!! Thanks yall, Have Very Merry Christmas!!

My port is near my belly button. Some waist bands annoy me, but not my bras.

My underwire bothers me if I am sitting too long. Sorta rubs against the port. I also think I may be getting smaller in the boobage and the bra may be riding up a bit. May be time for some new bras.

I was gonna ask how far down ARE your breast lol , but wasn't sure if you would get offended lol (I'm a jokester, never meaning any harm) .

I also wear underwire , but my port is no where near it.

My port is located left side, just below my rib cage.. About 1-2 inch from the end of my rib. I understand what your saying , maybe it's something else that's bothering it , I wouldnt think its the port ...

I dd not wear an underwire bra prior to surgery and I don't beleuve it has anything to do with my surgery since my port is much lower. But I've found if I sit a certain way I guess the wire pushes into my skin/fat whatever and can be quite painful if sitting that way for to long.

My boobs sit fine with the bra now without the bra...LOL. That's why I want new boobs when I lose all my weight!! My port is to the left and below my xepoid process, the point on the bottom of your sternum. I think when I sit more bent over, my underwire is hitting scar tissue.

I took a sports bra to the hospital and chose to wear one for a couple weeks afterward. Now, I wear an underwire bra, but don't have any discomfort from it. But, if I sit for a while in the car, I get uncomfortable, just from sitting. I think it is just a part of my banding process. If I get up, or move around, I am fine(and it is not all the time)! If you've lost some weight, perhaps you have less fat between your underwire and ribs now? Sorry... On my phone I can't see any signature information so I don't know how long you've been banded or how much you've lost...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
