Super Excited And Ready To Go!

Hi Everyone,

I had lap band surgery on 11/30/11 and am really excited about the changes and challenges that lie ahead. At this point, I has been 3 days since my surgery and I was able to get out and walk for about 35 minutes (which felt great). How soon before I can hit gym classes such as Zumba, step aerobics, weight training? Any tips for success would be greatly appreciated.

Don't rush things, most surgeons want you to wait 6 weeks before you lift over 10 lbs. Right now walking is the

best thing you can do. Get a couple of 5 lb weights to keep your arms in shape, but you need time to heal.

For right now, put your feet up and get a lot of rest. If you have a wii, maybe a little exercise with that, but

take it easy.

Thanks for the advice

Have you ever heard of Walk Away The Pounds with Leslie Sansone? I think you should do the 1 mile walk for now until you can do more, it's a walking in place DVD! You can find them at Wal Mart or online! I've been doing it pre surgery and have lost 20 pounds so far!
