HELLO EVERY ONE I WAS BANDED APRIL 28 OF THIS YEAR ! MY WEIGHT B 4 SURGERY WAS 255 AND I AM AT 190.0 I AM HAPPY WITH MY RESULTS ! BANDERS ITS ABOUT WILL POWER ! U CAN DO IT ! AND AM ALMOST TO MY GOAL WEIGHT ! IF I CAN DO IT SO CAN U ! I LOST 65 LBS AND I NEED 45 TO GO ! :)

Congrats! I was banded 2/8/11 with a starting weight of 252 and am now 180 with maybe 25 to go... 72 lbs lost! I feel soooo good. Way to go!

So cool!! I was banded in August and I started my pre op diet at 256 and I weighed in at 203 this morning!!! :)

It is so amazing... I will say that I think I am at a great fill amount for me (at least for now) and i exercise 6 days a week and watch what I eat..it is all worth it!

THANKS GUYS ! I KNOW TWO PEOPLE THAT HAVE THIS AND THEY R NOT FOLLOWING THEIR DIET WHY GET IT IF U R NOT GONNA FOLLOW THE DIET !

Needed to read these success stories today. Going out for my first "Girls Night" since being banded. Started at 255 and down to 230, but still self conscious about getting dolled up and going out. But these posts helped me realize that as long as I stick with the band it will have great effects and I will just continue to lose the weight. Great job everyone!

That is excellent, keep up the great work... I was banded Oct. 3rd and down from 242 to 195... So excited.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
