Just Got My BAND In Michigan

Hello this is Ted from Detroit, I just had my Large Bandinstalled ( LOL Installed) Tuesday. I am now home and feeling much better. Ihave been using the liquid medication to ease the pain and so far things aregoing as planned. I have yet to take a # 2 but told that will come soon…I havebeen on a clear diet and now I can have tomato Soup and anything that can fitthru a straw while not using one. I finally took the bandages off my incisionsminus my port as I want to wait another day or so. I think keeping a PMA andlooking a year down the road is keeping me focused but no obsessed! I have myPost Dr appt on Monday and can ask some questions that I forgot during our lastvisit. So now I just have to rest a bit, walk and get my Protein in. I amreally looking forward to my diet plan and getting back to my exercise!

I have been reading allot of posts on this site and it's sad that a largeportion are not encouraging for people considering the surgery or need post Opsupport. Allot of people talk about hunger, cheating and mistakes. I was toldfrom the get go that this will not be the magic answer, it’s a tool to helplose weight and portion control. I am amazed that people had this procedure andare going back to old ways moments after their operation. In any case, thanksfor having me and I look forward to a great journey!

You are on your way with a good attitude. Keep up the good work and do everything you have to do in order to suceed. Hunger is just a feeling and it is okay to feel hunger. Ignore it and it will go away.
