9/20/11 due date

Hi All,

I am new to the forum, but FAR into the pre-surg process. I am going under the knife on the 20th of Sept.. I think of it like due date, to a new beginning, a new "birth" for ME. And also because it has taken almost 9 months of pre-surg prep tests, appointments and basic time killers. I am now in the fasting process, which is really hard, but I am getting by. My kids and husband would like to add their two cents about my crabbiness. But we all know it is for the better in the long run. I am doing this drastic approach due to health, not vanity. I need to live long enough to see my son and daughter grow up and live their lives... I have personally heard all the stories, about obesity and death, but it really hit home about 2 years ago. I do not want to be another statistic. Any support, or kind words I would appreciate. I am scared, but I have a driving force to succeed and do this.

Congrats on your decison to do this! I have been considerling it for nearly 10 years! ...and finally I am comfortable enough with the progression of the procedure and with my doctor. Thank goodness. =D My surgery is on 10/07, 24 days short of my 32nd bday. My husband and I have yet to have kids and are hoping that this will move us forward in that process. Good luck and keep us updated! I'm sure you will do great.
