surgeon not doing lapband now

I'm in the 5th month of the 6th month insurance ordered pre-op nutrition counseling, etc. I went to a monthly appt yesterday and was told that the surgeon I preferred "now does very little to none" as far as lap band surgery. They said that she's doing more reversals/removals and doesn't have a lot of faith in lapband anymore. Has anyone had similar experiences? Not sure what to do. Where I'm going is a reputable place. ugh...

Hi I really don't have any advice for you but I'm glad you are going to a reputable place! I think it is so important to go to a good doctor who people have had good experiences with. But I would ask around with other doctors and get more opinions. But again, only go with reputable doctors!
