What'ya eatin in February?

Recommended Posts

Those parfaits are good... I have been nervous to try one since my fill though (cause of the fruit) -- I've been extra careful this week because it is the first time I've had any restriction and it is such a new sensation to have that fullness. I feel like I am nervous about everything I see. I am sure I'll get used to it and be more adventurous, but now I am a restricted weenie!

So was this your first fill? Just wondering if there is any hope of getting restriction from the fill tomorrow. Planning on doing the liquid thing for two days and then soft foods. Chucky cheese said I can't bring any food in...isn't that stupid...since I'll be paying like over 200 bucks to them anyway. I may take a yogurt in anyway...just put it in my bags. Is the food police going to arrest me?

LOL on the CEC! I doubt they'll be covering the grounds to check for yogurt!! Good luck with that! ;)

This was my second fill. He put in 1.6 in December and then another 1.0 cc's this past Friday. I didn't have much restriction with the December fill-- the only time I had any was when I ate too fast or way too big of bites. This time is definitely different-- although I still hear stories about people who have to sip Water slow and I don't have that. I think I have just enough restriction to give myself a good sign of when to stop.

Hey Court, you're filled almost just like me! LOL! He gave me 1.5 cc's the first time, and 1.0 cc's on the second. I have restriction now, but not so much that I can't stand to eat. It's pretty much just right. Sometimes I wish I could eat a little more, but usually it's O.K. I hope yours is "just right!"

That is totally how I feel too! I am still worried that it is swelling from the fill since it was only a week ago-- but I really am pleased with this fill so far.

Oh I so hope I won't ever be too tight to drink my Water reguarly....working out and sipping water just doesn't work well. I'm a bit nervous about tomorrow now..but excited too...really want to get the restriction started.

Don't be nervous, Melissa. It'll be totally easy. You'll be in and out of there in a flash-- post as soon as you can to let us know how it went.

Where did the "Whatya eating in Feb?" thread go, lol? I think it is a great idea to post meals. Shares meal ideas and creates a little accountability throughout the day. I also think newbandsters and wannabes could get a more realistic idea of "real" eating after the band. I always wonder where the idea that 2Tbs will fill you up comes from, because I have seen that several times now where someone is freaked out that they are able to eat more than that or that 2 Tbs isnt enough. Is that an RNY thing or something? Anyway, here goes

b- 2 scrambled eggs

l- BBQ brisket with pickles and onions, some grapes

d- meat patty with mushroom gravy and black eyed peas

Must be an RNY thing...I can eat way more than 2tblsp. Lets not even talk about what I ate today...it was like last meal syndrome all over again...what the heck. All the sudden I had to have subway...i might not be able to handle bread after fill. :)

So if anyone is curious of how bad I was today:

B: nothing...i know bad bad

L: 6 inch sub sandwich...(I ate almost all of it...someone slap me)

s: Mcdonalds fruit yogurt parfait (told ya i'm addicted)

D: chinese...but not rice, just meat...but way too much

oh and sometime during the drive home from picking up upteen cases of Cookies I ate 3 tagalong Cookies. Totally without thought I just popped those suckers right in the old trap and swallowed.

So I'm sure I was bad today...but just think 2 days on liquids...eww yum. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
