SSM Exclusive Choice insurance and questions.

Hello! I have SSM Exclusive Choice insurance and I was wondering if anybody has ever dealt with them. I am still considering the surgery. I truly believe if I dont have it I will continue to gain until i 500 lbs, like my dad. Im curious about how to go about approaching the insurance with the issue. Thank You!

I have exclusive choice and my approval was a piece of cake. They will pay for the surgery 100% if you have a BMI over 40 or if your BMI is 35-39 with 2 comorbidities, I believe. I am not sure if it goes lower than 35 with approval or not. My BMI is over 40 so it was an immediate yes. They also require you to do a 3 month medically supervised diet. HMR which is extremely expensive but it works, or Weight watchers and be seen by your physician regularly with medically managed documentation. I submitted my paperwork on a Thursday, 5 days later I was approved! They are extremely fast with approval.
