Amounts of food

I'm almost two weeks out and my doctor has moved me to mushy foods. She gave me a sample diet which showed 1 -2 tablesspoons of food but when I eat I totally can eat more than the sample diet suggests. I'm concerned about stretching the band before my first fill.and I'm worried cuz I haven't felt sick or have been gagging by the amount of food I eat which isn't a lot. But let's say that I can eat an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes. :(

You have not had a fill yet. Restriction (or dimming of appetite) will come later. It didn't happen for me until the 3rd fill. From the beginning I have religiously counted calories and I think that is what has made me successful. There are tons of free sites. I use myfitnesspal.com. Hang in there, you are in a time that is called "bandster hell". Your body is still healing from surgery and it takes time to recover.

Before your first fill do you have to worry about food such as meat, pasta, and or bread getting stuck or does that happen only after the first fill and after. i am assuming that there is no restriction to anything going down before the first fill at least. Is that true?
