How many days per week for exercise?

Recommended Posts

If you want to lose weight. Aim to exercise between 45-60 minutes a day. 30 minutes of exercise is good to only maintain your current weight.

I do three body pump classes per week and in between those classes I do spin and/or step. Weekends off. I love how strong I feel

One issue I am running into is that my back really hurts after I do a mere 30 minutes on the treadmill. I have been doing some resistance bands and crunches hoping it is just the fact that I need to build up the back muscles. But, it makes me not want to do the treadmill because I am in pain most all day long from it.

You could try exercise bike or rowing machine where your back isnt under so much pressure.. I have a bad back and treadmill isnt really comfortable for me so i use an exercise bike and rowing machine they work great :)

Sunday-weights and cardio one hour

Monday-water aerobics at bariatrics

Tuesday- cardio and weights/strength

Wednesday- walk 2 miles

Thursday- weights and cardio one hour

Friday- walking 2 mikes or rest and veg out

Saturday-body pump, swim, or walk 2 miles

Thus is the beginning of my routine two weeks now. Feel sore but taking it slower

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
