8 months post op.

Lost 60 pounds

42% of excessive weight (surgeons goal is 30 % at 1 year!!)

Began to plateau a few weeks ago...need tune up...maybe 0.5 - 1.0 cc's

It has been a pretty cool journey ...so far...

not even 1 regret!!

Best part.......I feel awesome, I mean, I don't just feel good...I feel healthy! For a few years, i had forgotten what that was like!

Surgery 6/15/2009

My highest weight was 238 when I qualified for surgery. Lost some before surgery. Today I am 2 years and a month out from surgery and weigh 160. I have lost 78 pounds. My dream goal would be 141, the lowest in my 5'8" normal range, and an awesome goal is 150, but I am a normal BMI.

So - I lost 33% of my total weight

But of "excess" weight, which I count as my high 238 to 165, the highest normal weight is 107%

or if excess is my dream goal I have lost 80%

And to 150, I've lost 89%

Happy? Glad I did it? Absolutely. Even with the hard parts, the tough parts, the painful parts - absolutely the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
