do I need a fill?

Recommended Posts

I just had my first fill 2 weeks ago. I have 2.2 ccs in a 4cc band. I am able to eat pretty much whatever I want. I am not losing weight, and I have not had a PB, vomited, felt sick, or had trouble with any kind of food. I do feel pressure in my chest if I eat too quickly, but it goes away in a minute if I just sit there and doesn't happen if I eat at a regular (not slow) pace.

Is it too soon for me to get a fill? I don't want to wait until my next dr. appt in 6 weeks. What do you think?

Don't wait, I waited and waited thinking I didn't want to get all my fills at once. But that is the point of the band, if you can still eat pretty much everything you want get a fill! Just a little can go a long way!

the only difference my first fill has made is that if I eat quickly I now get major pressure in the chest. I thought I was going to have my first PB yesterday, but it went down eventually.

But I can still eat the same and still pretty much anything. Yet now I'm not hungry between meals anymore, so I've lost weight and am continuing to lose.

I'm phobic about being really restricted so to me that means I'm going fine and if I were you I would wait too, I'd be scared it was going to kick in at some stage. V-e-r-y slowly is how I want to go with fills.

Some doctors wont do a fill any sooner than 4 weeks from the last, but I'd call in and give it a shot. 2 weeks is a good long time to give a fill a chance to 'kick in' as they sometimes do.

Just keep in mind those times when you get that pressure in your chest might turn into PB's after you are more restricted, so be careful with that!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
