My stomach will not quit rumbling. I was banded a week ago tomorrow and I don't know if this is normal it's like my head isn't hungry but my stomach is yelling at me to feed it. I'm getting all my Protein in and sipping Water constantly but the rumbling is incessant. I have not had a bite of real food in 3 weeks since I started the pre op diet. I'm doing good till the rumbling starts then it's painful. Help please. I just want it to stop.

I was banded the same day as you and my tummy can be very noisy too. Not as much as a few days a go, but still noisy! I don't think I am getting anywhere near all my Protein in and I always feel thirsty. The weird thing really for me is that I, like you have had no real food in weeks and I would have thought the weight would have really come off especially this week, it hasn't really moved much. It is kinda discouraging, but I know I am supposed to just be healing at this point and try not to think about it too much.

I am having a hard time telling between being hungry and just all the noise and rumbling going on.. I am sure it will get better though..eventually.

It will stop eventually, I thought there was something alive inside me wanting to get out! But it wasn't the least bit painful???

My hunger during the first week after surgery was very painful, almost incapacitating. What helped me a little was popsicles, and I didn't bother with sugar free either! I was in hell during Clear Liquids, I can't go near chicken broth without gagging now. Just hang in there and maybe try some Jello too. I know it's hard being hungry, and what would make me so mad when I would read that other people in the first week felt no hunger, just infuriating!

The first couple of weeks my stomach was making a lot of noise but it wasn't hunger. It was just noise, it will go away

It will be a week tomorrow for me too. My stomach is growlingand it really hurts. Today has been the worst. It just doesn't go away for long at all. I am going back to work tomorrow and am now wondering if I will make it through the day.

I'll be at 6 weeks since my surgery on Thursday and can really relate to your post. It took me a few weeks to realize that all the rumbling and other noises didn't always have anything to do with hunger. I'm not sure why there is so much rumbling, but am hoping it will go away soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
