How soon after surgery can you travel? m

Surgery date is tomorrow...whoooohooo! We are planning a house hunting trip in another state and was wondering how long after surgery do you think I'll feel ok to do so? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Post op here is 2 weeks. I'd like to go then but I'm scared that might be too early. Thoughts from those experienced lap banders? We'll be looking for a few days to a week.

TIA!

Are you flying? I flew about 5 or 6 weeks after my surgery and had no problems. I didn't try to eat on the plane, though because I was worried. I would've been fine to do a road trip after 2 weeks. It's different for everyone, though. Good luck!

Sorry just getting back to you but I just had my surgery today! We are flying and the doctor said it would be ok at 3 weeks out. Keeping my fingers crossed that he is going to be right!

Thanks for replying!
