Slight cheat on liquids but well worth it!!

So I started my creamy soups yesterday....sooooo exciting :) NOT. Well today as I opened my 98% fat free cream of chicken, I stared at it for awhile thinking about how I could possible give it a kick to make it more enticing to eat. So I added ground pepper and........shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese. It melted down with the soup and it was awesome! I actually ate the whole can throughout the day and was very satisfied! If anyone else has some pointers without going crazy, I would love to hear them, otherwise I'm sticking to my cream of chicken and pistachio fat free, sugar free pudding.

Have a great night!

Kelly

Just be careful with the cheese, although you may be feeling good, your stomach may still be swollen and the cheese will somewhat solidify sitting there. It may cause some problems for you if you do it to regularly. Good luck

I had potato soup and added cheese like you did and some ham flavoring it it was the greatest!!!! That was about 1 week post op. I didn't have any pain from it.

I added cheese to my beef broth and thought it was really good. I did the broccoli cheese soup purreded and thought that was good.

I used the "Fiesta Nacho" cheese soup and basic cream of potato soup, and mixed the two (plus added some seasoning). It was delicious!

Yea the Nacho cheese soup is good!

Campbells made it, but it can be hard to find. They have lots of regular nacho cheese soup.

Also I am eating smushed beans refried and butter beans..smushed up really good?? Is this ok?

Honestly....I know its bad but I am 5 full days post op and I ate a quarter meatmall tonight and I was fine. I made this huge pot of sauce, sausage and meatballs and just couldn't resist. I just needed something, so I'm sure your crackers and beans are fine. Good Luck!
