Swedish Band VS Lap-Band

As I mentioned in my earlier post, they use the Swedish band in Saudia. I just saw a picture of it and it looks absolutely nothing like the Lap-Band! I dn't even understand how it works! Can someone please break it down for me...I am so confused. Which one erodes the most? Which one has better weight lost results? All in all which one is better?

thanks a bunch

Hi, Megan,

I am scheduled for lapband surgery in about a month. I need to choose between the J & J band and Inamed. Now that more time has passed, what would your recommendation be?

Thanks so much - Mary M

Hi there,

Was banded October 25 in Mexico, had the new J&J Band. Dr.'s there believe with the J&J there will be more options in the US for aftercare. The theory is Johnson and Johnson is a huge company that will train Dr., to do the proceedure. So far so good with mine. It was just approved in the US in Sept. and it's supposidly addressed some problems with the earlier bands. Good luck to you@!
