lapband erosion need doctor

I had my gastric lapband done in 2004 and now it has eroded and eaten it's way through my stomach and needs to be removed. I'm 60 years old and Medicare is my only insurance and I cannot find doctors who will take my Medicare to do this surgery. Anybody else have this issue? Margo

Margo,

I have Medicare too but I have secondary insurance. I think if it's a life threatening situation Medicare should cover it. You might want to talk to the Dr. about it...

May I ask what your symptoms are and how it was diagnosed? I'm having some problems and I'm in the process of looking for another Dr. What all tests did they do to diagnose this? I pray you find a Dr soon to take care of this situation! This is important!
